Baroness (Lucy) Neville-Rolfe DBE CMG holds the position of Chair of the Board. A former Treasury minister and previously a board director of Tesco plc, she has taken over the position in December 2020 from Marie Staunton CBE who has been Chair since 2015.

Baroness Neville-Rolfe has sat as a Conservative peer since 2013 and is a prominent speaker on issues affecting business. A former senior civil servant, Baroness Neville-Rolfe brings to her role at Crown Agents an understanding of commercial agility from her 16 years at Tesco and of the challenges of turning policy into delivery from her years as a government minister including as Commercial Secretary at HM Treasury between 2016 and 2017. She served as a non-executive member of the then Foreign and Commonwealth Office Management Board between 2000 and 2005.

Baroness Neville-Rolfe also served as a minister at the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and Culture departments (2014-16). Earlier she was a civil servant including in the Policy Unit at 10 Downing St and a Director of the Deregulation Unit in the Cabinet Office.

She is currently a non-executive director of Secure Trust Bank PLC and of Capita plc, a trustee of Thomson-Reuters and the Chair of the UK-ASEAN Business Council. Among her pro bono work she is a non-executive board member of Health Data Research UK.
